Nail art, if you want it
Everything is hand done, one nail at a time. Cat eye magnetic gel, glitter accents, ombre fades, hand-painted detail — or nothing at all if you just want a clean, glossy colour. There is no pressure either way.

Where I am, and who comes to me
The studio is at 24 Foxham Terrace, Churton Park, Wellington. There is free off-street parking directly outside, which is most of the reason people stop driving into the city for their nails.
Most of my clients come from the northern suburbs — Churton Park, Johnsonville, Newlands, Tawa, Khandallah, Grenada and Glenside — but plenty drive up from town because they would rather have the hour to themselves than sit in a busy salon. If you are coming from the CBD it is about fifteen minutes up State Highway 1.

First time booking gel nails with me?
It is a home studio, so here is exactly what happens. You park directly outside and come to the front door. There is no waiting room and no one else booked in, so you will not be sitting around. The appointment is just the two of us. If you are a new client I would recommend starting with the $10 consultation so I can look at the condition of your nails and talk through what will actually work for you before you commit to a full set.
Worth knowing before you book: I work on natural nails only. I do not offer acrylics, BIAB, SNS or extensions, and I cannot remove acrylic or BIAB. If you are not sure what is currently on your nails, message me first and we will work it out.

How much do gel nails cost in Wellington?
A full Bio Sculpture gel overlay at Nails by Kirstie is $62. If you need a previous set removed at the same appointment it is $72 combined. All prices include GST.
How long do gel nails last?
Two to three weeks for most clients, and often longer. It depends on your nail growth and what you do with your hands day to day.
Do gel nails damage your natural nails?
Properly applied and properly removed, no. Almost all the damage I see comes from picking gel off, or from aggressive filing during removal. Bio Sculpture is specifically designed to support nail health.
Are your gel nails vegan?
Yes. Every Bio Sculpture product I use is vegan and cruelty-free.
Do you do acrylic nails or BIAB?
No. Natural nails and Bio Sculpture gel only.
